The second rarest of the large size $2 legal tenders, distinguished from other notes in the series by the large brown seal and blue serial number combination. With a mere 18 in the census, only a handful of sales have been recorded in recent years, most often the Uncirculated specimens, the last of which sold for $46,000. This is the only mid-grade example that has been available this decade - and is not likely to be sold for another 15 or 20 years. Purchased by us at the March 2006 CPMX.
